GA SPARK is our initiative to share ideas between flight schools and flying clubs. Running a school or club can often be a lonely business. There’s not really a good network of flight schools and flying clubs to connect owners and managers together to share ideas, learn from each other, and to help each other through the tough times.
The managers at San Carlos Flight Center are committed to changing things. Whenever we travel, we visit other flight schools and flying clubs to make connections. Similarly, we often host visitors to our area to share what we’ve learned and how we do things. We find that no one knows the challenges we face like another manager of a flying organization.
The GA SPARK network is informal. There are no annual dues, no secret handshakes, no conference halfway across the country. Just a group of aviation professionals willing to help. If you run a flying club or flight school, I encourage you to reach out to us to start a conversation about how we can make general aviation better together.
