There will be coffee and drinks provided at the conference during seminars, and light breakfast and group lunch on Friday.
On Thursday evening, we will enjoy a group dinner for all attendees in downtown San Carlos (not walkable from airport). It's optional, but part of the fun of a conference like this is meeting the other people from flight schools and flying clubs around the country and building a resource network.
Please advise organizers of any dietary restrictions or preferences and we will attempt to accommodate.
Friday evening, join pilots from the Bay Area FlyOutGroup (FOG) for their monthly Full Moon Flyers dinner event. Every month on the night of the full moon FOG picks an airport destination that has a restaurant on or near the field, and fly there. This month, the destination is Tarpy's Roadhouse adjacent to the field at Monterey (KMRY). We are asking FOG pilots to volunteer to give rides to interested SPARK attendees.
If you are planning to stay in the SF area for the weekend, San Carlos Flight Center has offered below-cost aerial tours to SPARK participants ($80/person). That's half off our normal Scenic San Francisco aerial tour. It's about an hour in a Cessna C172, departing San Carlos, over Oakland, up to San Francisco to see the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz island, AT&T Park, and other famous landmarks. Views of 4 of the 5 major bridges.
Note: Aerial tours must be pre-arranged to allow for coordination of pilot and aircraft. See registration form for more details.
